DiMaggio was a baseball
player who was famous for his over 50 games hitting streak. He played in New
York’s Yankees club for 13 years. In 1969 the centennial of professional
baseball voted him the sport’s greatest living player. His two brothers were
playing as major league center fielders. DiMaggio got a problem in which his
deep left and Centre fields were almost impossible to have any home run. Also, Di
Maggio got married to Marilyn Monroe. However, his
marriage ended in December 17th 1954. DiMaggio’s
biographer, Richard Ben Cramer, said that a major reason for the divorce was
the incident of the skirt blowing which happened to Marilyn in one of her
movies.
